Day 75: It Takes A Village

Today I worked late again, but did manage a winter scene in town. The crazy part is that the town was a small village that is set up at his house. Of course forgot my tripod so I had to improvise with a couple of boxes. Thankfully this is the season that creates a couple of empty boxes laying around. I changed things up a bit and set the bracketed mode to one stop, and then took two series of images to get six different exposures. After a run through Photomatix Pro and Photoshop this is the end result. Without a macro lens I could not get the exact shot that I wanted, but I still like how this turned out. At any rate it was good practice shooting lights in a low light setting. I had to crop it to get out some of the details of the house so that the village would be the focal point. I might have to try this again this weekend on a bigger set of these homes.
