I Am Not As Good As This Picture

Earlier tonight I talked about the awesome clouds that rolled in, and the fact that the sunset would be awesome. I was right. It was spectacular as the clouds formed perfect fingers coming from where the sun was going down. It was a truly beautiful sight. The sad part was that I saw the awesome sunset as I was walking out of my apartment. I had no time to get anywhere to shoot it. I was trying to finish dinner, and thought that I had some time. I guess I learned my lesson. Dinner can wait, the sunset won’t. I promised another picture tonight so I thought that I would post a picture I took earlier this summer during a sunset. One of my nieces (the black dog in the picture) was running towards me outside as I was getting ready to take a picture of the sunset. I hit the flash button on my camera and snapped two pictures. The first was of her starting to noticed the firefly, and the second was the one above. Everything seemed to work out perfectly for me as I was lying on the grass. Sometimes you just get lucky, and I really did here. I love this picture for many reasons, and thought that it would be nice to post something from my past on here. Maybe once a week or so I will post a picture that I have taken that I like for one reason or another.

By a professionals standards this picture might not be perfect, but for an amateur it is not too bad. I had just come from a Capturing True Emotion seminar which was about capturing moments. That has never been my strong point away from the sports field. Something I really need to work on it capturing moments. I love this picture because I truly captured one at the perfect time.
