The Mellott Post Office

When I was a kid I heard about a lot of older ballplayers. My dad’s dad loved to watch Mel Ott play ball. I will admit that when I first saw the name of this town I couldn’t help but think of the old New York Giants player. I need to find out more about why this town is named as it is. This post office does not look much different than the one that I posted yesterday. The flag is going in a different direction and the gas tank is on the opposite side. It is pretty much the same type of building though.

Another Post Office Week

This week the theme is once again post office buildings. It kind of is more specific though. These are post office buildings that I have seen on my way to or from a softball game. We are to that time of year when I am traveling to see the kids play softball again. Part of that fun is finding new things while on the road. The small town post office is a gathering place that I always like to photograph while traveling.
