The PRCU In LaPorte

Today is Dyngus Day. For a polish kid like me it is a fun day. The day after Easter is one where I listen to some polkas and make some pierogis. I thought that today was a good day for this photo of the PRCU in LaPorte. I have spent a few Dyngus Days in here in the past. Clubs like this one are not as popular as they once were. I love the idea of the local bar/club though. I spend time finding the gathering places in small towns that I visit. This was definitely one for this neighborhood.

Dyngus Day In LaPorte

In LaPorte where I grew up Dyngus Day is a big deal. They used to have shuttles going bar to bar allowing people to try the specials at each place. It is a good idea unless you think about it too long. The busses that take you bar to bar keep you from driving drunk. They don’t take you home though so I imagine some people have to aim for the middle road to get back home.
