Birds Of The Bog – The Northern Flicker

The Northern Flicker Invades A Portion Of The Bog

As I was walking out of the bog on Monday afternoon I kept running into northern flickers. There had to be at least ten of them all calling to each other and flying as I walked through the woods. At some point they were tired of flying away from me, and they all moved to another portion of the woods. This one flicker stayed on this tree by the path just long enough for me to make this photo.

Birds Of The Bog

This week I am looking at a few birds of the Celery Bog. It is a fun little theme that I need to make more photos for. I don’t get out to the bog nearly enough anymore. As the spring goes on I need to get out there more to see some of the birds that are migrating through.
