The Great Blue Heron Flies Over The Celery Bog

With all of the pelicans eating from the pond it doesn’t leave much fishing for the great blue heron. I saw a couple give it a go, but they came up empty. Last year was the first year in a long time that I didn’t have a photo of a heron fishing. That is one of my favorite things to photograph, and it just didn’t happen. So far this year I am still shut out, but I hope that drought comes to an end. I really liked the way that this photo turned out.

Birds Of The Bog

This week I am looking at a few birds of the Celery Bog. It is a fun little theme that I need to make more photos for. I don’t get out to the bog nearly enough anymore. As the spring goes on I need to get out there more to see some of the birds that are migrating through.
