The Week That Was In Sports
Spring sports are finally here! I have come to love basketball, but you are put in a spot and you have to stay there. For spring sports you can move based on hunches. Sometimes you are wrong, but when you are right you always feel like you are amazing. I was able to see Purdue softball get their 13th and 14th win in a row this past week. They are home again this weekend. Entry is free to the stadium so there is no reason not to come out and see them play.
Getting Some Reps In
In the spring my main focus lately has been my kids teams. When the season starts I don’t want to be rusty so I go out and get the rust off as much as I can before they start playing. By the end of the second day I started feeling much more into the flow of the games. I was making okay photos on the first day, but it took a lot of effort. By the second day things seemed to be coming to me more.
Emotion!
With a long winning streak comes a little more emotion. You are playing to keep it going. Above are a couple of my favorite emotion photos from this past week.
If At First You Don’t Succeed
On Sunday freshman Anna Moore hit a home run early in the game. During her celebration she passed the runner in front of her getting herself out. Purdue still scored two on the play, but she didn’t get credit for the extra RBI. Later in the game she hit another home run and I think the celebration at home was a little cooler because of what had happened earlier in the game. It is early in the season, but this is my favorite photo of the year so far.
More Photos From The Week
Below are a few bonus photos that I liked from this past week. I plan on making more softball photos this weekend. The weather should be perfect for outdoor sports. Before you know it the high school season will be here.
