The Pony Express Statue In Old Sacramento
This is a cool statue in old Sacramento that I am shocked took this long to make the blog. I made this photo nearly 13 years ago. When I saw this photo a while back it had some distracting elements in it. In the past I would have done just what I did. I let it sit and collect dust. I wanted everything in the 2×3 aspect ratio. Now I don’t care as much about that so I could crop out what was distracting and just have the good elements in the photo shine. I really like this photo, and I am glad that I can finally post it.
Back When The Old Stuff Was New
I made this photo with my old Canon 60D camera and the new to me 24-70mm lens that I took on the trip. That first edition 24-70 was a tank. It was big and bulky, and mine was a little beat up with some pieces missing from it. It was my first piece of ‘L’ glass though so it was amazing to me. Being that big it wasn’t the best for travel. On a crop frame body it was not the best either. I made it work though because I was using my L glass on vacation.
