Opening Day At Dog N Suds

As we get closer to baseball season I am looking for any kind of opening day that I can find. Today Dog N Suds opens in town. This is out local drive in and a sign that winter is coming to a close. Of course the wind chills below zero this morning say something different, but let’s just focus on the positives. I made this photo a few years ago now on a hot night as the drive in was closing. I have always been drawn to the way that this building lights up everything around it. It is perfect for this project.

Black And White February

For this entire month my afternoon theme is black and white photos. I started this a couple of years ago because I was not seeing any color around. That year I made every photo of the month black and white. Of course I saw the best sunrises and sunsets that entire month. I couldn’t post them though because of the theme. This year I am just posting my black and white images in the afternoon. It is a fun way to play with the fact that there is not much to see out there with my theme.
