Who Is Up For Some Ice Cream?

Normally in the summer when I drive by The Dugout in Otterbein it is so hot that a nice malt from there sounds great. When I drove by on Saturday night I had the opposite feeling. It was so cold that I could never have imagined getting some ice cream. Everything lined up pretty good for a cool photo though. The light was so low that I wasn’t sure if it would work. It ended up being one of my favorites from the short trip.

Making Photos In The Cold

I was on my way home from a family gathering when I made this photo. It was below zero with the wind chill and the snow was really coming down. Most people were just doing what they had to do and then heading home. I made a few stops along the way. It was cold there is no question about it, but when you are doing something that you want to do it doesn’t feel as cold. When I work an event on a day that is cold you can always tell who wants to be there versus who doesn’t by the way that the cold gets to them. I wanted to be on this trip so it wasn’t too bad out. That being said I was not in the mood for ice cream at this moment.
