A Lone Fisherman On Fishtrap
Last year I went up to LaPorte for a few hours in the winter. The trip was about paying respects to the father of some friends, but of course with me any trip turns into a photo trip. I saw this lone fisherman on Fishtrap and knew that it could be a fun photo. There could be a lot of dead space in the photo with all of the ice. I was hoping the fisherman would end up in a different spot because the exposed portions of the ice made a pretty cool design. This worked as well though.
A Different Combination
I made this photo with my Sony A1 with the 200-600mm lens and the 1.4x converter on it. This is not my normal travel combo. I think that I had it in the car because I was traveling in the winter. I was going to go through some prime spots for snowy owls so I wanted to make sure that I had a lens just in case. I never saw the snowy owls, but it worked well for this photo.
