A Former Burger Chef

This Jimmy Johns has previously been a few things. It was most recently previously a Love Shack pizza place. The shape of the building though tells you that at one time this used to be a Burger Chef. Do you remember Burger Chef? As a kid I remember this new thing called a funmeal that they had. I would get my kids meal and it came in a plastic trans am that I could play with. Of course it wasn’t made very well and was very brittle, but it was the early version of the happy meal. I haven’t really thought about Burger Chef in 35 years or more. These buildings have always looked familiar though. It wasn’t until recently that I put two and two together.

This week the theme is a new one. I am stealing an idea from Nick Carver. Actually I have had the idea and have been collecting photos for a while now. I didn’t know what to call it. Nick has a project called Previously Taco Bell that he has been working on. This was the perfect name for my project. All this week I will be showing off some of what I have been collecting.
