Making Christmas Photos On Film

I am old enough that for the first twenty something years of my life all my Christmas photos were made on film. We didn’t get our first digital camera until somewhere around the turn of the century. Making Christmas photos on film has been a fun side project every season for the last couple of years. The bad thing is that I usually can’t post the photos that I make until the next year. Here this photo is a fun reminder of the 100 year celebration at the union last year.

Loving Lomo 800

One of my favorite film for low light situations is Lomo 800. The colors just seem right to me. Here they render everything very well, and give me a look that I love. The film is a little grainy, but when the light is low it gives me great results. As I write this I can’t help but think that I need to use a roll of Lomo this season.
