The Old Hilbish Drugs Building

As a kid Hilbish Drugs and the Toy Parade building next door were owned by the same people and staples of LaPorte. I think that now though the old toy store is an ice cream shop, and I am not sure what is going on in this building. I love that the old Hilbish sign remains though. It has a great vintage look to it, and it brings back memories.

Everything Changes

When I was walking downtown in LaPorte this past year I couldn’t help but say to myself what each building used to be. I could see the old Maple City Sports building. The old LaPorte Sporting Goods building. Anderson tapes was not far from where I was standing here. Everything changes, but the memories remain. It is cool to see a few of those still around.
