The New Lafayette Mural At Blue Hour

A Cool View Of The New Lafayette Mural

As I was covering the mural being put up I sort of lined up this photo. I knew that at blue hour it could look really good. Last Friday we ate downtown, and then I walked down to make this photo. A little moving around got me the photo that I had in mind. On a busy Friday night you have to watch how much you are in the road, but I survived and I ended up with a photo that I really liked.

Working The Photo

Years ago I saw a show on Netflix that followed Nat Geo photographer Joel Sartore on a few trips of his. He kept talking about working the photo. I got to a spot near here and made a photo. In the past I would have liked it, and walked away. Now though I saw to myself “what else?” I then moved around a little and try and make it better. When you find the exact right spot you know it. Here a little fine tuning helped me make a photo that I really like.
