Trying To See The Comet

I kept having the idea to try and see the Comet Lemmon as it was visible, but every night that I was free it was cloudy. I finally had my free night with a clear sky so I went up to Purdue to try and see it. I thought that I wanted to get high to have a better shot so I picked a parking garage. I had the thought that if things worked out that I could get the comet over the Purdue Bell Tower. I did here, but I would have to point the comet out to you for you to see it. It is actually in the upper left hand corner of the frame. This is not the frame that I went up to make, but it is the frame that I made.

When The Idea Doesn’t Work Out

I really struggled to make an image once I got to campus. I have made the image of a comet by itself in the past, and I always want more context to the photo. I just could not line the comet up with anything though. The idea of this image is to document a once in a lifetime event so I guess it sort of works, but maybe I will get another chance at this.
