The Medaryville Pizza King

I made this photo one night on a trip home from LaPorte. It was late, but the night seemed pretty good to make a few photos. I have been through Medaryville hundreds of times in my life, but I have only gone down the road into the town itself a few times. This night seemed like a good night to do it. I was in a black and white phase at the time so all of my photos from the night were in black and white. The scene kind of called for black and white anyway.

Capturing The Little Things

One thing that has been fun the last couple of years traveling around is to photograph everything. It has opened my eyes up a little, and it has also helped me freeze some moments in time. I made this trip in late January. By the time that I came back through in August the place seemed empty and possibly for sale. It doesn’t take long for things to change in a town. It has been fun capturing things as they were at that time. Here is a brief moment in time for Medaryville.
