Finding Windows Into The Ballpark
While on our tour I was always looking for little windows to see the field. I had made my wide photo from behind home plate like I do at every park, but I wanted to find these little windows. I really like how this one turned out. You have some of the Fenway brick and Fenway green in the photo with the field in the far background. The green monster plaque adds to it as well. I don’t know if I knew what I was doing when I made this image, but I am glad that I made it.
Fenway Park Week
This week the theme in the afternoon is all about Fenway Park. Fifty years ago this week Carlton Fisk hit one of the most iconic home runs in baseball history at this park. I took the tour where I made these photos 41 years exactly since that home run was hit. If you read this blog often then you know that Carlton was my favorite ballplayer. He hit this iconic home run a little less than a year before I was born. It was still a core memory from my childhood as it was played all of the time. It was cool to get to tour this park on the anniversary of that home run. Now with that moment turning 50 I thought that this could be a cool theme for the week.
