Three Cameras At Roth Florist

The Three Camera Experiment Continues At Roth Florist

This is the final post of the week looking at my three camera experiments. For this one we have three film cameras with three different kinds of film. This one is a little more fun for that reason.

Canon A1 With Kodak Color Plus 200

I was out testing this camera that was new to me when I made this photo. I put a cheap film in it in case there was a light leak or something else wrong with the camera. The camera turned out to be in great shape, and I found out that even though it is a cheaper film the Kodak Color Plus 200 is a fun film to use. Here though I don’t think that it could really shine. I kind of set it up for failure with the way the light was on this day.

Minolta Freedom Zoom 125 With Aurora 800

As has been a theme this week the Aurora 800 film was just wrong for a bright day. I was trying to make just a handful of photos to use up the roll though so I kind of did what I set out to do. I have had no problem with 800 speed film in my other film cameras during the day, but I control the exposure triangle on those. This one is all automatic. I had it in my camera for a concert that I was at. It did its job there so that is what matters.

Sears TLS With FujiFilm 400

This combo has been the far and away winner this week. I have really liked how it has rendered the sky and the buildings while I was downtown. Here it does a good job on this scene here. You kind of have a little bit of everything in the photo with a bright sky and different light on the buildings. It handled all of that very well.

Verdict

For the final time this week I will arbitrarily pick a winner from the three cameras and films. All three of these combos could produce a winner, but here I like the Sears camera with the FujiFilm in it. As I write this I can’t help but think that I need to get a few more rolls of this film to play with.
