The Three Camera Experiment At McCord Candies
This has been fun this week looking at some photos that I made downtown with three different cameras.
Sony A7RII With The Sony 24-105mm Lens
This is my everyday camera. It is the control of this experiment. Here though it renders the scene very well. On the bright day I went with a little overexposed look to make sure that my highlights were not blown out. I like the way that it looks.
Minolta Freedom Zoom 125 With Aurora 800 Film
This little point and shoot film camera is one of my favorite film cameras to use. It is compact and fits in my bag very well. Here though I had some 800 speed film in it that really should not have been used in the daylight. My photos all came out a little overexposed because of that. Sometimes that can work really well, but on this day it was just too bright.
Sears TLS With FujiFilm 400
So far this film and camera combo have been my favorite. Here it gives a great look for an iconic part of town. The photo looks old and new at the same time. I really like how this film renders these older buildings.
Verdict
As with many days this week the Sears TLS with the FujiFilm 400 in it is my clear favorite. It just has a look to it that worked so well on this day. This photo kind of deserves a post of its own. Which one is your favorite?
