Three Cameras At The Tippecanoe County Courthouse

Three Cameras At The Lafayette Courthouse

The courthouse theme continues with three photos made at the Tippecanoe County Courthouse. The purpose of this experiment is to test out films to see where they perform the best. The problem with posting these on back to back to back days is that they results may end up looking very similar since they were made with the same setups. It is a fun experiment though, and a good theme for the week. Hopefully the leaves start to change soon and my color theme can happen.

Sony A7RIII With Sony 24-105mm Lens

As I have said in the posts this week this is my every day setup. I know what it does so it becomes the control of this group. This setup has made tons of photos for me by now, and has become a camera that I know very well. The bonus with this camera is that I get an immediate result. I underexposed the image a little to let the sky be the star.

Minolta Freedom Zoom 125 With Aurora 800

As with all of these daytime photos with the FlicFilm Aurora 800 it really overexposed my image. This one still could have been cool, but you can see some remnants of the process on the frame. This would have been near the end of the roll so maybe it has something to do with that.

Sears TLS With FujiFilm 400

This film has been by far my favorite of this experiment so far. Here though I don’t know that it works so well. I think that it really does a good job of rendering the older buildings. Of course for this photo I chose a composition with very little of the building in it.

Verdict

This is the part of the post where I arbitrarily pick a winner.  The FujiFilm 400 has stolen the show so far this week, but for this photo I kind of like the first photo of the post made with my Sony A7RIII. The FujiFilm is right there though. The more that I look the more I could see where the Fujifilm 400 photo could be better. Which one do you like the best?
