Dick’s Bar In LaPorte, Indiana

This is a place that when I lived in LaPorte I had been in a few times. There are many bars in LaPorte. When I was back in town in August I saw that many of them are still around and going strong. Dick’s Bar still has a similar look to it that it did in the late 90’s when I first went to it on the outside. It made me wonder more about why this bar has such a cool exterior.

The History Of 912 Lincolnway

This building has always had an amazing look to it for a bar. For this post I looked into it a little more and found out that this used to be a bank. The People’s Trust Savings Bank to be exact. That explains the ornate nature of the entrance. I don’t know that at any time when I was inside of this bar that I thought about it being a bank. I wander how much it has changed over the years.
