Late Night Tattoos

When I was walking around after the jazz and blues festival downtown I spotted this scene in one of the local tattoo shops. The light was too good to pass up. I loved the way that my camera saw the lights twice because of the window. I am not the normal guy to do street photography. Some of my favorite photographers right now have some elements of street in their work. This is not my normal kind of photo to make, but maybe that is why I like it so much.

Seeing In Black And White

When I saw this scene I knew right away that it would be black and white. When I started this blog almost fourteen years ago I was still finding a lot of things out. Over the years I have started to learn what I like, and in the field I can see the photo after the edit as I am making the photo. When it all comes out the way that I saw it on the scene it makes me very happy.
