A Nice Hat Tip To A LaPorte Legend

As a kid I didn’t know many historians. One name that I did know though was Fern Eddy Schultz. Over the years we would see her at the county museum, but I never really got a chance to talk to her. She was the person that knew LaPorte County inside and out. As I was admiring a mural in downtown LaPorte I immediately spotted her on it. She is surrounded by other local historical figures. I thought that this was a great way to honor Fern and all that she has done for LaPorte over the years.

A LaPorte Week

This week the theme for the blog will be LaPorte. I plan on posting both in the morning and at night with some photos from the town that I grew up in. Things change so fast that at times I felt like a stranger in a place that I used to call home. It was fun getting out and exploring to find things that brought back memories of my childhood. This week I hope to share a few fun things about LaPorte.
