3 Cameras At The Tippecanoe County Courthouse

The Three Camera Experiment Continues

For the last couple of years ever since film came into the equation I have had some fun with three cameras at once. I have my normal camera that I carry with me almost every day. It is a Sony A7RIII with a Sony 28-70mm lens on it. On this trip I also had my Minolta Freedom Zoom loaded up with CineStill 400D. This little point and shoot is easy to carry around and has been with me on many trips since I bought it. I also had a new to me camera. An old Canon A-1 with a 50mm lens and loaded with Kodak Color Plus 200. Below are the photos that I made with each camera.

Sony A7RIII and Sony 28-70mm f/2 Lens

This camera is the one that I take everywhere with me. I had a faster lens than usual on it because I was making photos inside of businesses for the Locate Lafayette scavenger hunt. This camera is basically here as the control. I know what I get out of this camera, and it helps me gauge what the other cameras are doing.

Minolta Freedom Zoom With CineStill 400D

This is a film that I had been wanting to use again. Putting it in the film camera that I use the most makes sure that I use it in a timely manner. This is an easy camera to use. You literally just point it and shoot it. That is why it is called a point and shoot.

Canon A-1, Canon 50mm f/1.8 Lens And Kodak Color Plus 2o0

This is a camera that my neighbor gave me. I put a cheaper film stock in it to test it out for light leaks or anything else that could be wrong with it. I had none of those issues and the Color Plus film looked great. This was a test for the most part, but a very successful one. I can’t wait to keep using this camera. My Canon AE-1 never really worked well for me. Things would look in focus, but never be. Here I had no trouble with the camera that uses the same focusing technique. I really like how this photo looks.

Conclusion

I really like the photo directly above. All three of them look good, but I love the colors that the color plus film gives me. It is the cheapest film that I use by far, but I think that I need to use it more. Which one of the three is your favorite?
