Seeing Shakey Graves

Sunday night we drove down to Indy to keep the concerts going. Shakey Graves was at Broad Ripple Park. The weather stayed away so that we could enjoy another fun night of music. I will admit that I didn’t know all of the songs that I heard, but that will change shortly. This was a great show in a week of great shows. The next time we see the band I will have a lot more ammo to sing along with. I am sorry in advance to those around me who will have to hear that singing.

Back To The Point And Shoot

After a couple of concerts in a row using my regular gear I was back to the point and shoot here from the crowd. The point and shoot really limits what you can do. Instead of complaining about that though I decided to lean into it. I would find ways to be creative with what I had. If I had my camera and I was in the pit for three songs I would have had some fairly boring photos that looked like every concert photo that has been made. Being restricted a bit allowed me to open myself up to creativity. With that being said I would love to explore that creativity with my regular kit. I will have to find ways to make that happen more often.

Sometimes you just can’t shut off the photo portion of the brain. Every time that I thought I had made my last photo the light would be awesome again. I could see something that would make for an interesting photo. I love music and in many ways it inspires me. Being at a live show with a camera just means that I will make too many photos.
