The Former Post Office

I really like this photo of the Halleck Building. It has an old time film feel to it. With the buildings future in doubt it felt like a great time to make some more photos of it. The trash bag on the mailbox out front tells a little bit of the story of the building. I have not made many photos of this building in the past. I was always looking for big epic photos of it. Lately though I have just started to find little areas of it that make for good photos. I really like how this one turned out.

Things I Saw During Art Class

Last week my daughter was taking a mural class at Flourish Art Studio. Amanda is amazing, and if you are in the Lafayette area I would highly recommend checking the website out. They have art opportunities for kids of all ages including old men like me. Every day I would drop her off and just walk around town. I have done this before when my little one had other classes downtown. I would try and pick a new area everyday to walk to. I had the idea of making at least one photo a day for this blog from these walks. My ideas didn’t always pan out, but the process of making them was a good exercise.
