A Walk Past McCord Candies

Trying To Walk Past McCord Candies

Last week while my little one was in art camp we would take a walk and find some of the Lafayette cutouts hidden around town. Of course every trip started with a stop at McCord Candies to grab a drink along the way. We started to get to know them enough that they were giving us suggestions by the end of the week. If they give you a suggestion take it. They are pretty good at curating drinks. On one of my walks I made this photo of the old building thinking that for the most part this photo could have been taken at any time in history. There are a few things that give the time away, but I like how this building has stayed the same for the most part all these years.

Things I Saw During Art Class

Last week my daughter was taking a mural class at Flourish Art Studio. Amanda is amazing, and if you are in the Lafayette area I would highly recommend checking the website out. They have art opportunities for kids of all ages including old men like me. Every day I would drop her off and just walk around town. I have done this before when my little one had other classes downtown. I would try and pick a new area everyday to walk to. I had the idea of making at least one photo a day for this blog from these walks. My ideas didn’t always pan out, but the process of making them was a good exercise.
