A New Mural In Lafayette

Last week I had the pleasure of watching the students at Flourish Art Studio paint a new mural in town. It was a fun week long class where the students started from the idea phase of a mural all the way to the end result of painting it on the wall. It was really cool to see them come up with the idea and then map it on the building. It was even better to see them roll with the punches as the mural was moved to a different wall at the last second. They quickly updated their design to fit the new wall. My little one helped with this wall and it was great to see her realize her design

A Fun Theme This Week

This week in the afternoons my theme is things that I saw while my little one was in art class. I would take some of the time that she was in class to walk around town to try and find interesting things. This week I lucked into a couple of photos. The best way to make photos that you like is to get out there and make photos. If you want to see something interesting you have to put yourself in front of whatever is interesting. I need to keep finding excuses to get out there to make photos.
