A Beautiful Sunset At Purdue

I made this photo the same night that I made the lightning bolt photo that I posted on Saturday. Before I went over to the stadium I went up to the performance complex to make this image. I saw the light off to the east looking really good so I didn’t want to waste it. I have struggled for years to make photos of this building. It is one that looked great on paper and on the plans, but the area around it makes it really hard to photograph it. Here a little trick helped me make this photo.

Flipping Things Around

The little window of light was only in one spot in the sky. I wanted to put this P into the photo, but it would have been backwards. On site I decided to try to make the photo, and then flip it in post to see how it looked. It came out like I had hoped that it would. It was just a brief moment here, but it really was worth it.
