A Morning Walk Around Lafayette

I made this photo last week while walking around Lafayette. I love this old building on the corner of 3rd street and Columbia. I was walking this way to see if there was anything interesting happening. I had hoped that no cars were in front of the building. When I saw this VW Bug in front of it I was happy that there was this splash of color in my photo. It was a fun, new photo of a great old building downtown.

Things I Saw During Art Class

Last week my daughter was taking a mural class at Flourish Art Studio. Amanda is amazing, and if you are in the Lafayette area I would highly recommend checking the website out. They have art opportunities for kids of all ages including old men like me. Every day I would drop her off and just walk around town. I have done this before when my little one had other classes downtown. I would try and pick a new area everyday to walk to. I had the idea of making at least one photo a day for this blog from these walks. My ideas didn’t always pan out, but the process of making them was a good exercise.
