Sunset At The Softball Field

A Quick Trip For The Light

Last week as the sun was setting a beautiful rainbow was in the sky again. I grabbed my camera and headed down to the local softball field to make a photo of it with the rainbow in the frame. I was hoping that there was a game going on, but there was none. In the short time that it took me to get there the rainbow had gone as well. I decided to stay a few minutes though to see the sunset. It did not disappoint. It was a very cool and layered sunset that helped me make this photo of a field that I spent plenty of time on this year.

The End Of Softball Season

I made this photo the day after my little one played her last game on this field for the year. Here in the north softball season goes by way too fast. We start games in April, and they are done by June. It is a frantic pace that gets doubled by having two kids in the sport. We rarely get a night off, and when we do we are not sure what to do. That sounds like I am complaining, but I really love it. There is always this little withdrawal period once the season is over. Running out to the field to make this photo was a good way to help that out a little.
