Spending A Weekend At Columbian Park

This past weekend I spent two days at Columbian Park for some of the founder’s day events that they had there. This year Lafayette turns 200 and there will be a lot of chances to celebrate the anniversary. This one was a great chance to get out to Columbian Park for a couple of days. This coming week there is a downtown birthday bash on Friday to celebrate the city. This could be a fun summer of celebrations.

It is always cool working with the local paper. As a kid I always thought the photos that the local guy for our paper made were pretty cool. Years ago I got to work alongside of Bob Wellinski, and that was even cooler. Now I try and channel some of his work into mine when I am out on these assignments.
