The New Old Bruno’s

When I went to school at Purdue Bruno’s was located not too far from where this photo was made near the Levee. They tore it down as part of the a redevelopment of the area and redesigning of the roads in that area. They put a new Bruno’s up that kept some of the charm of the old one, but also had the cool sports room in the back. Of course now that one is gone now too. It was taken down as part of a new development and changing of the roads. That seems to happen a lot down there. There is a new Bruno’s now just down the road from me next to Brokerage Brewery.

Photos For History Sake

Sometimes I make photos like the one above of a building that I know will not be there much longer. It is probably more for my own memory more than anything else. It is always good to remember what was once there. They are full on building the new development now so it will be interesting to see what it looks like when it is done, and if there are photos to be made down there.
