The Liefer Building – Pierceton, Indiana

The Liefer Building

This building at 106 Catholic Street in Pierceton, Indiana just looked cool to me when I went through town. This building was built in 1909 to serve as a bakery. It has since become other things, but it is made to house a small factory. I loved this entrance though. You could see what the architect had in mind when they were coming up with the plans here. It is not too fancy, but enough of a grand entrance.

The Things You Will See

In the past couple of years I have found that taking the small trip to see the town just off the highway can pay off in seeing some really cool things. Here I pulled off the highway to see the Carnegie Library that is directly across the street from this building. I found that the town had some other really cool features as well. It pays to explore a little as you drive.
