The Movie Ends With The State Title Game

This is the famous scene for the ending of the movie where Hickory wins the state title game. The boys are all awestruck when the enter the building, but famously Coach Dale measures the basket and the area around it to show them that it is the same as their gym back home. I think of this scene every time that I make photos in this gym. This is a fun place to make photos, and this year I need to get back in here to show off some of the features from the film.

Looking Back On The Movie Hoosiers

Forty years ago this year stars were all over Indiana filming scenes for the movie Hooisers. I knew about the scenes filmed at Hinkle Fieldhouse and in Kinghtstown, but I didn’t know that the town of Hickory was just under a half an hour from my house. This week I am going to look at some of the filming locations around me. With us being right in the middle of March Madness and the state title games for boys high school basketball coming up this seemed like the perfect time to visit a few locations.
