The Boone County Courthouse Reflection

The Boone County Courthouse After The Rain

I made this photo a few weeks ago on our way to the Billy Joel concert in Indy. We stopped in Lebanon, Indiana so I could use up some film in a camera. I wanted to be able to start a fresh roll at the show. It was raining on the way down to the show, and that fresh rain helped me make this photo. I really like how this came out. A lot of luck went into this photo. The first thing is that we had this big puddle to work with. The second is that it was in an alley that let me get far enough back to make this photo. Of course the last bit of luck is that the alley was pretty square with the courthouse. We stopped to use up the rest of my roll of film and grab a bite to eat, but right next to the parking spot was a great photo just waiting.

The End Of Black And White Month

For the last couple of years I have dedicated a large portion of February to black and white images. This is the time of the year when it seems like we have the least amount of color around. It makes sense to try and see things without it. For these last couple days of the month I thought that I would just have all black and white posts.
