The Peyton Manning Statue Outside Of Lucas Oil Stadium

On our way out of the Billy Joel concert last week I made this photo of the Peyton Manning statue. We were in the sea of people leaving the stadium, but I wanted to take a couple of seconds to make this photo. There were people all around the base of the statue so I quickly came up with this composition to just feature the upper half of it. Someday I would like to make more photos of the statue, but this is a good start. We were back on our way and back into the sea of people in a few seconds.

The Point And Shoot Camera

There is a saying that you can make a good photo with any camera. That is true in certain situations. For sports and wildlife you have to spend a little to make impactful action photos. For a photo like this though my little point and shoot does a great job. On this trip I had a little challenge for myself by taking a point and shoot film camera loaded up with 800 speed film. When the film comes back I hope to have a fun post looking over what I was able to capture. This year I hope to attend a few more concerts. I think that at the next one I would like to set a goal and have some fun making a photo story with my little camera.
