The Infrared Courthouse

One of my favorite things to try in midday light is an infrared photo. You are photographing the reflected light so that harsh light in the middle of the day actually makes for a good photo. It also makes the sky go black as it is not reflecting any light. It is a fun way to make a striking black and white photo.

A Month Of Black And White

Last year I seized on the fact that February typically does not have a lot of color to have a month full of black and white photos. This year I am doing the same, but with a little more planning. I have made the photos for this month over a long stretch of time instead of more of a real time thing like last year. My weekly theme will become a monthly one for twenty eight days.
