Ice Fishing On Pine Lake

The Sun Goes Down On The Ice Fisherman On Pine Lake

Last Sunday while getting ready to head out of LaPorte the sun was putting on a show as it was going down. Here on Pine Lake I really liked how the golden sky looked in contrast to the blue ice and snow on the lake. The pockets of water on top also did a great job of reflecting that golden light. I wanted to include the ice fishing shanties on the lake. Where I live now we don’t have a ton of public lakes, and it was kind of neat to see all of the lakes of LaPorte again. The fishermen were taking advantage of the weather to get their poles in the water again.

LaPorte Week

My theme for the last week of the month is simple. I will be posting photos from my hometown of LaPorte, Indiana. My trips back there lately have involved laying someone to rest. I need to get back there more often so that I can enjoy my time there. My hometown has changed a lot since I left so it will be fun to see what I can find that hasn’t changed. This week I will highlight some things that I have found over the last few months.
