The Super Bowl And The Eagles

When I was younger thinking about the Super Bowl made me think of the teams playing, would I get a good square on our board, and how could I make the cheese dip as unhealthy as possible. Now though the weeks around the Super Bowl have me thinking about bald eagles. For some reason they come to our area at the same time as the big game. Sunday while watching and listening to the championship games for each conference I couldn’t help but think that the eagles were in town. It probably helped that one of the teams is actually named the Eagles. With that in mind I went down to the Wabash Monday to see what was going on. The smaller bodies of water were still frozen over so I had to find a good spot on the main river. I spent a couple of hours down there, and basically had this one flyby to show for it. With wildlife you rarely get lucky. You have to put in the time so that the luck comes a little easier.

Eagle Crazy

For this small period of the year I kind of go eagle crazy. I will try and spend at least part of each day down by the river for the next few weeks. Later this week the conditions could actually be perfect for some eagle photos. Hopefully my hunch pays off, and you see some amazing eagle photos later in the week.
