Round Barn Under The Stars

The Door Prairie Barn Under The Stars

This past weekend I was in LaPorte to pay my respects to the father of some of my friends. It was a quick day trip up to my hometown so I didn’t have much time to make photos. On my way out of town though the last of the blue hour light was looking good, and the Door Prairie barn was just sitting there waiting for a photo to be made of it. I knew that if I left my shutter open long enough I would be able to see more stars than I could see with my eyes on the scene. I have made many photos of this barn over the years. This one is a little different for me. Some day with a little more time maybe I can try to take this a little further.

LaPorte Week

My theme for the last week of the month is simple. I will be posting photos from my hometown of LaPorte, Indiana. My trips back there lately have involved laying someone to rest. I need to get back there more often so that I can enjoy my time there. My hometown has changed a lot since I left so it will be fun to see what I can find that hasn’t changed. This week I will highlight some things that I have found over the last few months.
