A Simple Frame Downtown
One of my goals last year was to make more simple photos. I wanted to find a scene and then wait for the right moment to make a photo. This one fits that mold for me. You have the historic old hotel in Lafayette on the right with a person walking towards it in the lower left. The frame kind of helps you stay in it the way that the elements line up. This was a fun one to wait on.
Goals For 2025
Over the course of making photos the way that I make goals has evolved with my photography. I stopped making bold declarations on something that I wanted to do. In the past I would have made a goal like making ten full moon photos in a year. That could be out of my hands with weather. Then I have failed a goal because of factors out of my control. Lately I have found little things to work on, and I have decided to just put an emphasis on those things. I think that it has helped my photography all around. Constantly finding little scenes helps keep the eye sharp. This year I have a simple goal to keep working on this. It has been great fun and invigorated my photography.
