Hearing A Sweet Sound

During migration I always love to hear the sound of the white breasted nuthatch. They are kind of the tour guides of the Celery Bog. When you see them you also tend to see a ton of the migrating birds. With that said I really know what they sound like, and while making photos of Ruby in the snow I walked across the path to watch this nuthatch hunting. It came around the tree and let me make this photo of it. It was a quick encounter, but a fun one.

Snow Week

This week my afternoon theme will be snow. Every photo will have snow as a component of it. We had a couple of good snow days recently so this kind of made sense. I went out trying to make some photos that were a little different with this week in mind.
