A Cold Day At Dog N Suds

Yesterday I was out and about in the snow making photos. I had just stopped next door to Dog N Suds for a drink and lunch when I had the idea for this photo. It was pretty cold when I made this photo. The snow was blowing, and it did not look like a day to enjoy the patio at Dog N Suds. At this point of the day I was already pretty cold so I was making my trips out of the car shorter and shorter. This photo was made next to the car so I didn’t have to walk too far to make it. It might also be one of my favorite images from a fun day out making photos.

Having Some Fun

At this point in my day I had already made a few photos that I liked. I had my speed light on the camera to make some snokeh photos, but I toned things down here so that the scene was more about the yellow and red of the building against the white everywhere else in the frame. I think that it worked here. I played around with a few ideas while I was here. I already had something that I liked so why not have some fun and try and make something better?
