A Little Luck

I made some photos of Ruby in the snow last week I turned to walk down to the pond. I knew that there was a guy on skates clearing a space for skating. I got a couple of steps away from Ruby when I realized that I was being watched. Three deer were staring right at me. They were checking me out to see what I was going to do. From what I could see it was a momma, a dad, and a baby just getting something to eat. I made this photo and a couple more, and then quietly walked away from them. As I started into the woods from a little further down the path I realized that they followed me a little bit. I think that they wanted a family portrait, but there was far too much brush in between us to make a good one. It was a fun little photo session though.

Snow Week

This week my afternoon theme will be snow. Every photo will have snow as a component of it. We had a couple of good snow days recently so this kind of made sense. I went out trying to make some photos that were a little different with this week in mind.
