Two Days At The Purdue Gate

This past week I spent some time at the Purdue gate on a couple of different days with different conditions. The first was blue hour one morning after a rain. The ground was very reflective. I got down love to make the photo that you see above. I really like the clean look with the reflections. By getting low I was able to get the Union under the garland on the Purdue gate.

Another Take In The Same Spot

A day later I was back up on campus during blue hour at night making photos. I made the above photo with the thought of getting the seal into the photo. This seal has been there for five years now, and it is starting to show that age with how dirty it has become. A weekend of champagne getting spilled on it probably didn’t help much. I like both photos for different reasons, but I really like the top photo a little more.
