The 2024 Purdue Memorial Union Christmas Tree

Earlier this week I was finally able to see the Christmas tree in the union. This has been a different year where I haven’t been able to get over there. It was kind of nice to get to photograph it again. When I started this photography journey it was a learning lesson for me. Over the years it has become a tradition to make a photo of it. I usually make a photo from straight on, but I really liked how this photo turned out a little to the side.

Making The Hits

Each year during Christmas I find myself in similar places making similar photos. When I do this in sports I call it the hits. You go and make the photos that people expect to see each year so I make them. When I am done making the photos that are sort of expected I can have some fun and make other photos. I had actually left this room and went up top to make a photo. I am glad that I came back down to make the photo that you see above. I was also very lucky to have the room to myself to make the photo.
