Finally Making Some Christmas Photos

Last night I went downtown to grab dinner. I made sure that dinner would be ready around blue hour, and I gave myself about twenty minutes to make some photos. I started off by the depot with the new lights that they installed last year. My first photos were of the lights straight on. I really had some fun working the scene, and I ended up making this photo of the courthouse through the Christmas lights. I probably worked the scene for about twenty minutes, but it was worth it in the end.

Finding A Different View

Part of the fun of working this scene was coming up with a new way to see the lights. It is always fun to make photos of the lights, but when you find a new angle it is even more fun. This really made me happy making this image. Last year I don’t think this was possible with how the lights were set up. Here it worked out perfect to make this photo.
