Deep Snow On The Nativity Scene

I made this photo many years ago at my parents house up north. The lake effect snow would sometimes come down in great amounts giving some fun little scenes like the one above. I was not so into photography yet, but I had a cheap Canon Rebel camera that I liked to use. Here it helped me capture the fun glow of the nativity scene in the snow.

Looking Back

It is always fun to look back with photography. That is kind of what it is all about anyway. With a camera you are capturing a moment in time. This year looking back is a little harder because of the passing of my father. This will be the first Christmas without him around, and it will feel a little different. Christmas is a time for celebration though so the hard part will be finding ways to honor what dad while still making the holiday fun for the kids.
